So one of the things that I have seen lately on the web is the automatic creation of social media profiles. One of the services that offers this is called: Aboutus.org. This website basically grabs a comprehensive amount of information about a site and then spits it into an summary article about companies (very clever). Now for example in the case of Plastic Surgery Cr as you can see, the URL is created incorrectly. It should have been PlasticSurgeryCr.com but it decided to capitalize on Urgery.
To make changes to the way that the automated system decided to create the URL you have to sign up and login. Of course it takes the usual email confirmation and all that and therefore is pretty time consuming.
So, in my opinion, this kind of wikis might not make it online. There are lots of people out there trying to trick the systems. So the people behind the systems protect them. Finally the people that have nothing to do with it, don’t like the fact that they have to go through 5 steps to correct a letter.
